Battlefield V gets 'Operation Underground' map on October 3, takes you to Germany

Battlefield V didn't garner the thunderous response Battleground 1 received, just that hasn't stopped EA from working on new content for the game. Today, the team announced that the Operation Underground multiplayer map will officially get live on October 3.

EA said that Functioning Undercover draws inspiration from the Operation Métro map featured in Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4: Second Assault.

Featuring intense close-quarter combat, the map takes place in a war-torn German language city across diverse play areas including urban streets and courtyards, and within the narrow tunnels of the undercover railway. The trains are halted when artillery fire ruptures the ground higher up, causing both sides to navigate through the confined space to reach the other side.

Battlefield V fans have been unhappy with the slow pace of updates, and lots of missed deadlines on the previously-announced roadmap, merely additions similar this could be signs of EA trying to plough the transport around. However, only fourth dimension will tell.
